SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (June 14) – DishFish has appointed The Richards Group as lead creative agency and public relations partner to launch its first wide-scale integrated marketing campaign.
The DishFish line of cleaning products, the first consumer product line from Foamtec International Company, a 22-year-old leader and manufacturer of high-tech foam, are designed specifically to quickly release dirt and other particles, stay odor free, and last longer than other sponges. With its patented fish shape, DishFish is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand and can get into tight spaces. Its eye and gill are functional and fun to look at – a perfect fit for scrubbing cutlery and other narrow utensils. Arguably its fan-favorite feature: DishFish stands on its tail so water can easily drain from it, eliminating bacteria odors, mold and mildew- it’s also convenient for storage and keeps looking great standing on your sink.
“The Richards Group’s storied history is filled with successful campaigns that help brands stand out,” said Jim Kordenbrock, a military veteran and founder of DishFish. “As a young brand with a disrupter product, we wanted to partner with an agency that has a knack for arresting creative and for building relationships between brands and consumers – even when that brand is a sponge, which is traditionally a last minute purchase you don’t think too much about. We look forward to together making household cleaning a more satisfying experience for sponge-haters everywhere.”
Based in Dallas, The Richards Group will be responsible for DishFish’s creative, public relations and digital strategy. The first creative work will launch nationally later this year.
“As an independent agency, we love working with innovative brands that are trying to do things differently. It’s who we are too,” said Stacie Barnett, principal at The Richards Group. “We’re inspired by Jim’s passion to shake up a relatively mundane category, and we know already that once you get people talking about the chore of dishwashing, they actually get pretty excited about DishFish. There’s a chord here that DishFish can strike.”
DishFish launched in 2017 with a line of powerful new multipurpose sponges and non-scratch scrubbers designed to clean harder and smarter while staying fresh and odor-free longer. DishFish products are made with PowerCell Technology™, which attacks grease and grime but is gentle enough to not scratch sensitive surfaces. Its ForeverFresh Foam™ achieves absolute “wipe dry” results. GoFish is another product line made from the same proprietary technology that is ideal for cars, boats, RV’s and motorcycles. DishFish was recognized with the 2018 Good Housekeeping Tried and Tested Designation, 2018 Family Choice Award, 2019 Clean Choice Award and 2018 Editors’ Pick as Best New Product by Progressive Grocer. Sold at major retailers across the U.S. and select retailers globally, DishFish is also available on Amazon.com and Walmart.com.
Parent company Foamtec International Company LLC is a global leader in the high tech foam industry for specialized contamination control solutions in clean rooms and unique consumer applications.
